Mr Ian Raikes, Headteacher of Greenbank High School was delighted with a set of exceptional results. He said “I am amazed at the progress that pupils of all abilities have made since their start at Greenbank. I am extremely proud of the girls who were always determined to both achieve in their studies and their personal development through the wide range of extra-curricular opportunities our staff offer that leads to their love of school. An excellent 83% achieved 9-4 grades (previously A*-C) in both English and Mathematics, an increase of 4% on last year. 79% of pupils achieved 5 4-9 grades including English and Mathematics. An incredible 30 pupils achieved at least 8 GCSES at the more challenging 7-9 grades with 19% of all grades being at the highest grades of 8 to 9. These achievements could not happen without the determination and hard work of students and staff. Well done to everyone and we look forward to celebrating the pupils success at Awards Evening in November.”
