On Saturday, 1st October, five very brave staff members are taking part in The Big Jump 2022 for Beat. The Big Jump is a charity skydive to raise funds for Keller’s house charity, Beat (Britain’s Eating Disorder Charity). The money raised will help Beat to be the lifeline people struggling with eating disorders desperately need, and will work to end the pain and suffering it causes.

Every single day, another young person begins battling an eating disorder that is slowly stripping away their self-worth, their independence, their joy, their peace of mind, their security, their mental health, their physical health and most likely – their future.

Beat and its work is vital to the battle against eating disorders, and funding Beat will help families support their loved ones who are suffering. It will also fund research that confirms the dangers of eating disorders and the treatment immediacy that is crucial.

Keller’s House Leader, Mrs Powsey, was the first to sign up and was quickly followed by Mr Meakin, Mr Scott, Miss Marsh and Mrs Mullinder.  Mrs Powsey was once asked, “What would you achieve if you weren’t afraid?” and her answer was helping Beat and eating disorders!.
